Crowns and bridges

What is a crown?

A crown is a custom-made dental restoration designed to correct and protect the underlying tooth. Made of porcelain with aesthetic qualities similar to tooth enamel, crowns look like natural teeth. The core of the crown can be made of a solid material like metal alloy, lithium disilicate or zirconia.

Is a crown the right treatment for you?

Although crowns have been around for many years, they have evolved significantly, especially with the use of higher performance materials. Our patients appreciate their aesthetics, durability and longevity. A crown may be the right solution if you have one or more of the following conditions:

  • Significant tooth decay
  • A chipped or broken tooth
  • A tooth that has undergone root canal therapy
  • A weakened tooth
  • A misaligned, misshapen or worn tooth
